Institution Overview

Aaniiih Nakoda College (ANC) is located in Harlem, Montana on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation, home to the Aaniinen and Nakoda people. ANC was chartered by the Fort Belknap Indian Community Council in 1984 and has been accredited through the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities since 1983. ANC strives to promote equality among all people and diversity within the college campus and tribal community. Our mission is to provide quality post-secondary education for the residents of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation and surrounding communities. The college promotes individual and community development by maintaining and revitalizing the indigenous lifeways of the Aaniinen and Nakoda Tribes and by preparing students to succeed in an American technological society.
